The prayer burdens of the church in NYC for the week of 8/26/2025

1. Thanksgiving to the Lord for all the middle school, high school and college age young people, and prayer for each one during the upcoming school year; let us pray specifically for all the college freshmen, that they would go on in the church life wherever they are and that they would "shine as luminaries in the world" from the beginning of their college years (Phil. 2:15)

2. The burden for the gospel on the college campuses during the new academic year both in NYC and throughout the country

3. Regional Labor Day weekend conferences for the churches in the Mid Atlantic (in Baltimore, MD), the Southeast (in Jacksonville, FL), the Mountain States (in Denver, CO), and Southern California (in Orange County,

4. The Spanish-speaking conference for the churches in the Northeast to be held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 5-7

5. The Young Working Saints and Young Families Conference being held at Camp Penuel over the weekend of September 12-14

6. The various needs of the saints both locally and in other localities (e.g. physical and emotional, health-related, job-related, family-related, etc.)

1. Acción de gracias al Señor por todos los jóvenes de escuela intermedia, escuela secundaria y de edad universitaria, y oración por cada uno de ellos al entrar este nuevo año escolar; Oremos específicamente por los de primer año universitario, que puedan avanzar en la vida de iglesia donde quiera que estén y que “resplandezcan como luminarios en el mundo” desde el principio de sus anos en universidad.

para que seáis irreprensibles y sencillos, hijos de Dios sin mancha en medio de una generación torcida y perversa, en medio de la cual resplandecéis como luminares en el mundo
